Jehovah Witnesses are a similar group except they allow you to live and work in your our home etc. Then they estrange you from your family only to make sure that your will is done by one of their lawyers and all assets are stolen from you then. They can also be found hanging around nursing homes visiting people whose families perhaps are out of town etc. They are nice to you until you change your will.

I think the child abuse allegations are probably the least of the problems with this group. They are Biblically based which is wonderful but how they control the people there is not Biblically based at all. Its all about their control over members. Have you ever seen a 12 Tribes woman walking alone? I don't think I ever have. Try talking to a 12 Tribes woman in their group and see how their body language defers to the men around her completely and utterly. They seem to completely cut off the outside world to new members. I've heard they keep new members up so they get little sleep so new ideas can be better infused. Not exactly Biblical! The military does this too, hence you have mindless soldiers doing things they know are wrong sometimes. This is extremely dangerous and shows the group is corrupt. Try talking to a very young adult and see how they communicate. See how they defer to older people as if they are incapable of speaking their own opinions. Then the money issue which is downright wrong. To join you HAVE to give up all your assets? I sure don't remember reading that stipulation in the Bible. Sure there are stories of people giving but its not a necessity. And don't lie and mislead others about giving. That is why Ananias and Sapphira were slain by God: It was the deception that was the problem. God was not forcing them to give all. Not even close. Also, ask them about the fallibility of the leader of the 12 Tribes. Ask what mistakes he has done. THAT should generate a lot of defensive answers. Nobody is without sin but they sure forget that Biblical precept when referring to their leader. Control of others is the problem with the 12 Tribes.
